The Allen P. and Josephine B. Green Foundation is a private foundation with about $11 million in assets. The mission of the Foundation can be summed up as “Improving the quality of life in Missouri”. Grants are not made to projects outside of the United States. The State of Missouri is strongly favored as the targeted geographical area. Areas of funding interest include Children, Culture, Education, Environment, Health, Historical Projects, Hospitals, Medical Research, Religion, Scholarships, Social Agencies, Youth.
The Alliant Energy Foundation's Scholarship Program has established partnerships with a number of colleges and universities within the company's utility service area (Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin) to support the higher education financial needs of worthy students.
George A. Strait Minority Scholarships are awarded annually to college graduates with meaningful law library experience who are members of a minority group as defined by current U.S. government guidelines, are degree candidates in an accredited library or law school, and who intend to have a career in law librarianship. Applicants must show evidence of financial need.
The broad goal for this program is to maintain and increase incrementally the number of underrepresented ethnic–minority students in the geosciences.
