Abbotsford Community Foundation – Abbotsford BC, Canada 
As a first step, the Grants Committee encourages the charities seeking funding to contact the Foundation office by email or phone call to discuss the upcoming program and/or project. Upon the initial screening acceptance, the Grants Coordinator will request a 'letter of intent'. The 'letters of intent' will then be further screened by the Grants Committee Members and considered for an application process. In order to be eligible, the applying organization should be providing services which primarily benefit the citizens of Abbotsford.

Adirondack Community Trust – New York 
The vast majority of ACT's funds do not accept applications for support, as the grantmaking is either advised by a living donor or is predetermined by a specific fund purpose (such as an annual scholarship award or a designated annual grant to a specific nonprofit organization). There are, however, a small number of funds at ACT to which grant seekers can apply for support. Each of these funds has unique interests, from supporting youth to focusing on health to funding projects only in a particular geographic area. Alberni Valley Community Foundation – BC, Canada 
The Alberni Valley Community Foundation provides a unique opportunity for citizens and organizations to make a tangible and lasting contribution in support of our Community's visions and actions. The Foundation currently makes grants from the Community Fund once a year. The first stage is a letter of enquiry, directed to the Grants Committee. This must be received by January 15. Qualifying charities then receive an application form. Please note that grants are usually in the $500 to $5,000 range.
