Alma Gibbs Donchian Foundation
| It is the primary mission of the Alma Gibbs Donchian Foundation to provide assistance to various specified institutions in Castleton, Vermont and the immediate environs. Beyond that, the Foundation hopes to address the following areas of concern: 1. Issues affecting the elderly, particularly those "middle-income" elderly not served by other programs; 2. Education, particularly as it addresses hearing and/or learning impairments, or reading disabilities; and 3. Programs or agencies engaged in the furtherance of fundamental values, such as: self-reliance, respect for tradition, the value of work, the importance of family, the innate 'goodness' and 'uniqueness' of all persons, and the satisfaction to be derived from religious or similarly uplifting beliefs. |

Lintilhac Foundation
| The flagship projects of the Lintilhac Foundation have been the support of the midwifery program at Fletcher Allen Health Care and support for student scholarships and scientific research at the University of Vermont and Middlebury College. The Foundation has also moved aggressively to address consumer and environmental advocacy issues and believes it is important to make polluters — not taxpayers — pay to clean up toxic wastes and pollution in Vermont streams and ground water. The Foundation also works to foster a new generation of clean, renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies. |

New England Grassroots Environment Fund
| Since its inception 12 years ago, NEGEF has built up a core grantmaking program that has funded over 1,000 different community groups located in over 40% of New England’s cities and towns putting over $2.5 million directly into these communities. These grants are typically between $500 and $2,500 for its regionwide small grants program, with a range of $500 to $10,000 for its urban grants program: the Boston Grants Initiative. NEGEF invests in constituencies from rural, suburban and urban areas, working on a wide range of projects. |

Vermont Women Fund
| No other organization in the state of Vermont makes grants exclusively to support the needs of women and girls! Our grants are helping women and girls to move out of poverty, establish safe relationships, choose healthy behaviors, build communication skills, master non-traditional occupations, and strengthen their physical, emotional, intellectual and financial well-being. We step in where larger foundations do not by funding smaller, grassroots, gender-specific programs. |
