Greater Manhattan Community Foundation

| The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation seeks to be a responsive and proactive community partner that works strategically to address existing and emerging community issues. The Manhattan Community Foundation has three grant programs. Grants for Greater Manhattan awards grants for charitable purposes to nonprofit, tax exempt organizations serving residents of the greater Manhattan, Kansas area. Youth Impacting Community (YIC) provides young people between the ages of 13 and 18 the opportunity to practice philanthropy by actually awarding grants to address perceived needs for young people in the community. The Kids Who Care Program offers small grants to 4th through 12th grade classes in Manhattan area public and private schools, including but not limited to Manhattan/Ogden schools, Riley County schools, Manhattan Catholic Schools, Flinthills Christian School and Rock Creek schools. Beginning in 2009 Kids Who Care grants will also be available to non-profit youth groups wishing to initiate or enhance programs that meet the interests of the Kids Who Care program. |
