| The Agnes M. Lindsay Trust was formed in 1939 in New Hampshire. It currently awards grants that support health and welfare organizations, particularly those serving individuals with special needs, including the blind, deaf, learning disabled, the elderly, and children. Organizations funded include (but are not limited to) children’s hospitals, youth/family services, children’s homes, summer camps and enrichment programs, hospice care, and programs for those with disabilities. |

| Applied Materials measures its value as a global citizen in part by its efforts to strengthen the communities where it does business. In order to achieve our goals of providing leadership and making meaningful social contributions around the world, we aim to address specific community needs by supporting initiatives in Education, Civic Development, the Environment and Arts & Culture. We direct approximately 50% of grants to the area of Education, 25% to Civic Engagement, 10% to Arts & Culture, and 15% to environmental awareness and sustainability. Generally, Applied Materials and the Foundation support programs or projects that are based in, or directed toward, a city or region where Applied Materials has operations. | The Foundation’s funding interests are in the areas of Arts and Culture, Education, Health and Hospitals, Jewish Causes and Social Welfare. Its grants are concentrated in Greater Boston area and Palm Beach County, Florida. The Foundation does not consider endowment requests nor does it accept unsolicited proposals. If an organization wishes to be considered for an Initiative’s RFP recipient list, it should call Foundation staff to discuss its work by phone. Please note that funding for the Initiatives is limited to the Greater Boston area and Palm Beach County, Florida. If there appears to be the possibility of mutual interests, the organization will be encouraged to send information about its work by mail. This information will then be kept in the Foundation’s files and referred to when the next round of Initiative funding is being planned. RFP recipients are chosen based on their potential fit, the annual budget of the Initiative and Trustee review of potential organizations. |

| The Clipper Ship Foundation was founded in 1979 by David Parmely Weatherhead. The foundation makes grants to federally tax qualified nonprofit organizations offering human services to individuals living in Greater Boston (cities and towns lying on or within Route 128) or the cities of Lawrence and Brockton. Priority is given to those organizations devoted to helping the homeless and ill-housed, the destitute, the handicapped, children and the aged, or addressing the needs of new immigrants and other needy communities and neighborhoods. Special consideration will also be given to emergency disaster situations, worldwide. |

| Proposals are requested from IRS designated 501(c)(3) organizations with 509(a) status, for projects that serve the residents of Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties. (If an organization is headquartered outside of the Pioneer Valley, the project must directly benefit residents of these counties.) Competitive Grants are made in the areas of arts, culture, education, environment, health, housing, and human services. The Community Foundation encourages creative and collaborative responses to existing or emerging problems or opportunities, and projects that leverage additional support for programs from other private and public funding sources. |
