| It is the mission of the John P and Eleanor R Yackel Foundation to support programs that create a just and peaceful society, build sustainable environments, and in all we do, work toward the common good. The Foundation has three main areas of focus: Intercultural understanding at home and abroad that leads to economic justice and supports nonviolent approaches to conflict; Environmental preservation and the regeneration of natural resources, both urban and rural, Related arts, with a special focus on: Promoting literacy, Community involvement, Peace Education. The Foundation funds organizations that are based or have programs in Minnesota or Vermont. |

Youth Foundation - Scholarships - National Focus

| The Youth Foundation is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) Foundation established in 1940 by Alexander and Maude Hadden. Its basic objective is the awarding of Hadden Scholarships to exceptionally worthy, financially needy, secondary school seniors for their undergraduate college education. High school seniors, who are United States citizens, seeking higher education at accredited four-year United States colleges or universities. Applicants must show a 3.5+ or better grade average and should document financial need. |
