To be eligible for the Responsible Sports Community Grant, your organization must be registered with Responsible Sports. You can find out if your organization is registered by searching our database. If you cannot find your youth sports organization, you must alert your administrator to register your youth sports organization to be eligible to earn one of the $2,500 Community Grants.
Once your organization is registered, rally as many members and supporters to participate in the self-paced Responsible Sports Parenting and Responsible Coaching coursework. Then, pass the 10-question Responsible Sport Parenting quiz and Responsible Coaching quiz. Verify your email address to receive your certification and then credit your organization. Each credited certification brings your organization one step closer to earning a $2,500 grant.
Who Can Earn a $2,500 Community Grant
Any non-profit youth sports organization or educational athletic program can earn a Responsible Sports Community Grant, but an organization can only receive a grant once.
Twenty youth sport organizations with the most credited certifications will earn a $2,500 Responsible Sports Community Grant to help defray the many costs of running a successful youth sports program. But don't think that just because you are a small organization you cannot earn a grant. Organizations are split into three groups Large organizations (200+ players), Small organizations (under 200 players) and educational organizations (school athletic programs).
Organizations must be registered non-profit, traditional youth sport organizations or school athletic programs recognized by the governing bodies of their sport(s). Organizations must serve the community at large and must be open to the general public, without bias, prejudice or discrimination regarding participation. Liberty Mutual reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to exclude any youth sport organization deemed to be private and/or contrary to the goals of the Responsible Sports program. All grants applications are subject to verification.
Who cannot participate:
- Previous recipients of a Responsible Sports Community Grant
- Adult Sports Organizations (18 years of age and older)
- For-profit Organizations
- Any organization/entity that is exclusive in its membership and participation
