The mission of the Idaho Community Foundation is to “enrich the quality of

Firelight
Foundation - Africa
The Firelight Foundation mission is to improve the well-being of children
made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS and poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa. We support
grassroots organizations that help families and communities meet the needs
of their children. Firelight accepts unsolicited proposals from seven
countries in Sub-Saharan Africa: Lesotho, Malawi, Rwanda, South Africa,
Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. In addition, Firelight awards grants to
CBOs in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda through solicited proposals. Our
decision to focus on these countries is based on several criteria,
including where the highest levels of need for support to vulnerable
children are and where community access to donor funds is limited. From
the beginning, our approach to grantmaking has been: child-centered,
family-focused, and community-based. Firelight provides initial one-year
grants of between $1,000 and $10,000 to CBOs serving vulnerable children
and families.

The Challenge Foundation supports model educational initiatives that make
it possible for every American child to attain a high school education
that produces literate, factually aware, and thinking graduates second to
none in the world. To accomplish our mission, the Board of Trustees and
Advisory Committee have determined that the Foundation will support model
charter schools. The Foundation will also support school choice and
education reform projects that promote the charter school movement. Grant

1st and 10
Foundation - WV, TN, FL
Chad and Robin Pennington created the 1st and 10 Foundation in 2003 with
the mission to build stronger communities by funding programs and
institutions that seek to improve quality of life throughout West
Virginia, Tennessee and South Florida. Requests for grants are accepted
from charitable non-profit agencies and organizations actively working to
fulfill the Foundation's goal of building stronger communities. All grant
requests are given careful consideration by the 1st and 10 Foundation
Resource Council and judged on the unique merits of the individual agency,
its goal and mission.
Claremont Savings Bank Foundation - New Hampshire
The Claremont Savings Bank Foundation does not fund grant requests from
individuals, religious organizations, or municipalities. Grant requests
are encouraged from civic, arts, social service, health and affordable
housing organizations. The Foundation’s Board may allocate available funds
by type or activity. The Foundation will consider multi-year pledge
requests, however, this practice must be limited and monitored carefully
due to the restrictions this places on annual grant making. Priority will
be given to Claremont, Charlestown, Cornish, New Hampshire.
