The goal of the Bell Atlantic Foundation is to provide opportunities for non-profit
organizations to apply new technology to the programs and services they offer, advance
their mission and give people in our communities the tools and means to improve their
lives and achieve their goals. Priority will be given to activities that facilitate
collaborations through network solutions and enhanced communications systems in the
following program areas: Education, Health and Human Services, Arts and Humanities,

The CARLISLE Foundation operates two distinct categories of funding: ANNUAL GRANTS and
LONG TERM GRANTS. Annual Grants make up the majority of CARLISLE funding
Crossroads
Community Foundation
The Crossroads Community Foundation exists to create intersections where philanthropic
opportunity and demonstrated need meet to serve people who live and work in Metrowest and
adjoining communities. At these crossroads we are building a permanent endowment to
provide for creative, capacity building and cost-effective grant making to meet our
region's changing needs.

Foundation for Seacoast Health
Emphasis To support and promote health care in the New Hampshire/Maine Seacoast
area, which includes Portsmouth, Rye, New Castle, Greenland, Newington, and North Hampton,
New Hampshire; and Kittery, Eliot, and York, Maine.
Maine Arts
Commission
Serves Maine's diverse arts organizations and communities with limited amounts of funding
to assist them with assessing, planning, and implementing strategic cultural development
projects.Statewide Leadership Initiatives, Technical Assistance, Community Arts
Development, and Arts in Education are covered.

Community Foundation
Funding restricted to Maine organizations.
The Maine Humanities Council
The Maine Humanities Council is a private, nonprofit organization that awards grants,
distributes resources, and initiates programs of statewide interest. Council programs, and
projects supported by Council grants, explore themes in history, literature, philosophy,
comparative religion, archaeology, the history and criticism of the arts, and related
fields. Planet Dog Philanthropy
Planet Dog Philanthropy, the philanthropic affiliate of Planet Dog, an eco-friendly dog
product company based in Portland Maine, is accepting proposals for its new grant program.
Planet Dog Philanthropy is dedicated to supporting unique and effective programs taking
compassionate action to preserve and restore the natural environment, cultivate animal
welfare and foster quality education. PDP will award grants in amounts up to $5,000 to
applicants in the three program areas, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
Grants will be awarded to both Maine based 501(c)(3) organizations as well
501(c)(3)'s in New England and around the country. |
