The Brookdale Foundation Group funds several initiatives including: its Fellowship, Respite, and Relatives As Parents Programs. The Brookdale National Group Respite Program assists community agencies in developing a social model, congregate care respite service for people with Alzheimer's disease and their families. The Relatives as Parents Program (RAPP) was initiated. It is designed to encourage and promote the creation or expansion of services for grandparents and other relatives who have taken on the responsibility of surrogate parenting. The Foundation Group will consider funding new and innovative projects that provide direct services that will better the lives of older people. |
