Applications for grant awards that do not fit in other specific Foundation program categories are accepted for review by the Trustees of the Ausherman Family Foundation. The organization submitting an application should note the areas of interest of the Foundation, namely:
- Supporting and building the capacity of programs for children and young adults
- Cultural activities and experiences
- Safe and aesthetically pleasing environments
- Christian Missions
- Also of interest are programs that support the underserved population
Eligibility Criteria
1. Grant requests should outline realistic dollar amounts, backed by documentation and a clear description of the need for funding.
2. With few exceptions, grants awarded by the Foundation are limited to the boundaries of Frederick County. The decisions of the Trustees are made on a bi-monthly basis.

How to Apply
Organizations that wish to submit a request for the General grants program are asked to send two sets, one original and one copy, of the following information to the Ausherman Family Foundation: 1. The Application Form-General Grants Program, providing organization information
(download the Writable Form or the Electronic Form)
2. Current operating budget
3. List of board of directors
4. Organizational chart
5. List of other significant donors
6. Organizational mission
7. 990 Federal Tax Form
