LBF Gulf Coast School Library Recovery Initiative grants are available to schools that (1) were damaged by the 2005 storms or (2) were created in response to these storms.  Other schools are encouraged to apply for a regular Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries grant.  Funds are available for library books and magazine subscriptions only. The Laura Bush Foundation is unable to honor requests for shelving, furniture, equipment, staffing, software, videos, guides, tests or exams, classroom book sets or other similar items.
