  • National Foundation for the Improvement of Education - provides grants and assistance to teachers, education support personnel, and higher education faculty and staff to improve student learning in the nation's public schools.

  • National Geographic Society Education Foundation. The Foundation awards more than five million dollars each year to support teacher training, outreach and other programs that promote geography education. At the heart of the Foundation's effort is its support for a national grassroots network of Geography Alliances—state-wide partnerships between academic professors and K-12 teachers to provide professional development, networking, and more. Unsolicited applications are not accepted, although nonprofit organizations may contact the Education Foundation with letters of interest.

  • Nebraska Cultural Endowment
    The Nebraska Arts Council and Nebraska Humanities Council have joined forces to plan a long-term source of support for Nebraska's cultural resources.

  • The NEC Foundation of America has announced that, beginning this year, its sole focus will be on technology for people with disabilities. NEC Foundation of America makes cash grants to nonprofit organizations in support of the development, application and use of technology by and for people with disabilities. Eligible proposals must demonstrate national reach and impact. NEC Foundation of America requires no special application form. You are welcome to submit a one-page preliminary proposal in advance of a formal proposal. A preliminary proposal must include the amount requested, purpose of grant and how the project matches the funding interests of NEC Foundation. Preliminary proposals may be submitted on-line; formal proposals are not accepted on-line. Deadline: Proposals may be submitted at any time; those received after a deadline will be held for the following cycle. Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals well in advance of deadlines and to make sure that project timelines are compatible with NEC Foundation’s cycle.
