December 4th, 2009 Admin No comments

Today I received this email supposedly from Walmart and
you need to be aware that this is a scam:

Customer Satisfaction Survey

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. will add $150 credit to your account just for taking part in our quick survey. With the information collected, we can decide to direct a number of changes to improve and expand our services. You click the link and it takes you here:

http://www.basecc.co.kr/Skin/walmart.html (kr domain = Korea)

The survey questions:

How do we rate? (please check the appropriate box for each)

Excellent Good Average Fair Poor N/A

Courtesy & Friendliness

Responding to Requests

Product Knowledge

Problem Solving

Interest in Serving You

Service Speed

Store Appearance

Overall Satisfaction

At the end of the survey they ask for your credit card number, issuing bank, etc., so they can direct deposit the $150.00 directly into your credit card account.

After entering bogus information (to see what the second page look like), this is the page they ask for your private and financial information to use your credit card or it to request new credit cards using your information.

IF you have received and completed such a survey CONTACT
your credit card company and report your card lost. The company will cancel your credit card and issue a new one.
