On Sunday November 19th 1493, Christopher Columbus officially landed on our shores and in
the name of Spain and its Catholic church named our homeland with the Catholic name of San
Juan Bautista (Saint John the Baptist). Later on they would rename our homeland again, as
it known today, Puerto Rico.
