Grants... Options... Government Grants... If you are a disabled veteran the first place on your list should be the Veterans Administration web site. They provide extensive information on programs and benefits to which you can apply. Foundation
Grants... reality check.. Our suggestion is for you to identify nonprofit organizations in your town/city, county and state, and the services/programs they provide. You should also identify programs your state funds that are in-line with your needs. Do not be hesitant to make an appointment with the Executive Director of a local nonprofit organization to see how his/her organization can assist you. They may not have the exact program you are seeking, but they can point you in the right direction and save you hours of research. Remember, nonprofit organizations exist to serve their community. which part of its mission is to raise and distribute funds to other non-profit The Challenged Athletes Foundation provides individual grants to athletes with disabilities that are in need of funding for training, equipment, or travel expenses to major competitions. Kevin Black Charitable Trust gives grants to seriously disabled individuals for the purchase of equipment to help improve their quality of life and to facilitate the move from hospital to home. Coleman Foundation offers grants for entrepreneurship education, cancer research, housing and education for the handicapped, and other educational programs. Some of the
